Pastores según el corazón de Dios: La intimidad con Dios que debe desarrollar para el buen ejercicio de su ministerio

José María Baena Acebal en el libro Pastores según el corazón de Dios se aproxima al profundo carácter espiritual de tan privilegiada misión como es la de pastorear la iglesia de Dios. Para ello se adentra entra en el corazón o el contenido más íntimo del ministerio, adentrándose en la necesidad de buscar y cultivar la intimidad con Dios, área que todo pastor debe desarrollar y mantener, para el buen ejercicio de su ministerio. El título es una alusión expresa al texto de Jeremías 3:15, “Os daré pastores según mi corazón, que os apacienten con conocimiento y con inteligencia”.

El libro empieza explicando la expresión literaria y referencia al “corazón de Dios”, para referirse a esa parte íntima y profunda, a los ‘secretos’ más íntimos de su ser. Y luego en los capítulos siguientes, seguir una secuencia lógica pero motivadora y practica del ministerio pastoral “según el corazón de Dios” que debe culminar en un futuro esperanzador y una mayor intimidad personal con Dios.

Para hacer ese camino recurre a lo que cree son los atributos claves. Esos elementos claves son para el autor:

• la misericordia como norma en el camino,
• el amor con motor para andar
• la palabra de Dios como fuente de inspiración e
• Cristo como el fundamento donde poner la mirada
• y el Espíritu Santo como la fuerza diaria
• el ejemplo personal como la herramienta principal a la hora de enseñar y conseguir resultados en el día a día

Un libro inspirador para cuantos ejercen el ministerio, sobre todo el ministerio pastoral, pero útil para cuantos sirven al Señor.

In order to do so, he enters into the heart or the most intimate content of the ministry, going into the need to seek and cultivate intimacy with God, an area that every pastor must develop and maintain, for the good exercise of his ministry. • the word of God as a source of inspiration and
